About Jenn's House
Jenn's House was established in 1991 by Patricia and Richard Dillman and their son, Brian Dillman in memory of their 17 year old daughter and sister Jennifer Joy Dillman. "Jenn" died on February 11, 1991 as the result of a chartered bus accident while enroute to an indoor baton twirling and color guard competition with the Salisbury High School squads on February 2. Jenn was Captain of the twirling squad. She was laid to rest on Valentine's Day.
While Jenn was a patient at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa., the Dillman family appreciated the comfort of staying at a facility that offered shelter for families in need of lodging near the hospital. The family became aware of the value of having a facility available to them at a tragic time.
Although the facility catered only to families of children, the mission of Jenn's House is to reach out to families of both children and adults with similar needs while in the Lehigh Valley area. With the help of family and friends, a grassroots Board of Directors was formed and the project began.

This project is dedicated to those who were on the bus with Jenn and to Bob Growcott, a chaperone who also died as a result of the accident. |
